Why Choose a Glass Balustrade for Your Garden?

There are so many reasons to choose one of these systems for your outside space. From safety concerns to garden décor, they can help with many different aspects of your garden. Some popular reasons that homeowners choose a balustrade system are:

Balcony Areas

If you have a balcony area in your garden, then a glass balustrade can be a crucial addition. Not only do they look great and separate your balcony from the rest of your outdoor space, but they provide additional safety as well. If you have little ones at home, then they can protect them from falls. Not only that, but glass can help lighten up your balcony and create the illusion of more space in your garden.

Swimming Pools

Properties with outdoor pools are a real luxury, but one that should be enjoyed safely. If you are lucky enough to have a pool in your garden, then a glass balustrade can be a vital safety feature. You can prevent children and pets from entering the pool unaccompanied and minimise the risks of falling. These systems can also be a great windbreaker for pool areas, while still allowing all that precious sunshine through.

Decking

A decking area in your garden can be a perfectly peaceful haven outdoors. To keep your decking separate from the rest of your garden, glass balustrades are a stylish option. These particular kits are made from glass are minimal and entirely transparent, eliminating unwanted shadows and letting the light in.

Coastal Homes

Beachside properties often have stunning sea views which you want to keep uninterrupted. Using as a border will leave you with beautiful beach views to enjoy all year round.

Child Proofing

Balustrades can act as an important safety feature in your garden. You can protect children from risks posed by balconies, decking, steps, ledges, swimming pools and more. When you have a balustrade system in your garden, you and your family can enjoy total peace of mind.

Are Glass Balustrades Safe for A Garden?

Many homeowners question whether glass balustrades are a safe choice for their gardens. All of our kits include toughened glass panels which offers the ultimate in safety and excellent protection.

Toughened glass is tempered so has been heated to roughly 700 degrees and then quickly cooled. This process forms a strong layer on either side of the glass and locks tension in the centre. Toughened glass is not impossible to break, but it takes a lot of force to break and will not shatter into large shards. Instead, it breaks into small pieces which are less dangerous and easier to clear away.
