The Venice aluminium Juliet balcony creates an “infinity look” using sleek anodised aluminium profiles that virtually disappear when installed. Unlike traditional aluminium balconies with visible frames, the Venice system uses vertically mounted profiles that create clean, uninterrupted lines. This aluminium Juliet balcony spans up to 2,500mm wide without centre supports, giving you maximum glass area and minimal visual obstruction – something standard aluminium balconies can’t achieve.
The Venice aluminium balcony comes in four standard widths: 1800mm, 2100mm, 2300mm, and 2500mm, all at 1100mm height. This aluminium Juliet balcony system can also be manufactured to bespoke sizes if your opening doesn’t match standard dimensions. The beauty of this aluminium balcony design is its flexibility – we can create custom sizes up to 2,500mm wide while maintaining the structural integrity that makes aluminium Juliet balconies so reliable.
Most aluminium Juliet balconies fall under permitted development rights and don’t need planning permission, but there are exceptions. If your property is listed, in a conservation area, or the aluminium balcony faces a highway, you may need permission. The Venice aluminium Juliet balcony is designed to be minimally intrusive, which helps with planning applications when required. We recommend checking with your local planning authority before ordering any aluminium balcony system.
The Venice aluminium Juliet balcony accommodates glass from 12mm to 21.5mm thick. For most residential applications, 15mm or 17.5mm toughened glass works perfectly with this aluminium balcony system. The thicker glass (19mm-21.5mm) is better for larger spans or exposed locations. This aluminium Juliet balcony uses rubber gaskets to secure the glass, creating weatherproof seals that last for decades without maintenance.
Yes, the Venice aluminium Juliet balcony can be powder coated in any RAL colour. Popular choices include Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016) and Matt Black (RAL 9005), which complement most modern architecture. The standard finish for this aluminium balcony is natural anodised aluminium, but powder coating allows you to match existing window frames or architectural details. Powder coated aluminium balconies cost slightly more but offer unlimited colour options.
Installation costs for an aluminium Juliet balcony typically range from £200-£400 depending on the mounting surface and access. Installing an aluminium balcony into masonry is straightforward, while timber or steel frame installations may require additional structural work. The Venice aluminium balcony system is designed for easy installation, but we recommend professional fitting to ensure your aluminium Juliet balcony meets building regulations and warranty requirements.
The Venice aluminium Juliet balcony can be fixed into brick, timber, PVC, steel, or aluminium frames using the appropriate fixings. This aluminium balcony system includes mounting profiles that distribute loads evenly across the fixing surface. For masonry installations, the aluminium balcony uses chemical anchors for maximum strength. Timber frame installations require through-bolts to structural members. Each aluminium Juliet balcony installation is assessed individually to ensure proper structural support.
Aluminium Juliet balconies require minimal maintenance compared to steel or timber alternatives. The Venice aluminium balcony needs occasional cleaning with mild detergent and water – the same as you’d clean windows. Anodised aluminium balconies are virtually maintenance-free, while powder coated finishes may need inspection every few years. The rubber gaskets in this aluminium Juliet balcony system should be checked annually and replaced if damaged, but typically last 10+ years.
